This past Saturday was Priceless—MasterCard Priceless! I spent the evening at The New York Botanical Garden’s special event called, Orchid Evenings and then went on to view The Orchid Show: Chandeliers. I sipped champagne at the Orchid Evenings MasterCard Pre-Party and had a fun time viewing The Orchid Show while getting my drink on. The night combined two of my favorite things, flowers and cocktails. MasterCard is the preferred card of The New York Botanical Garden, so when I booked my ticket for the event, I was granted access to the MasterCard Pre-Party. When I arrived at the garden I started the night out with a complimentary glass of champagne and a Guerlain goodie bag filled with luxurious beauty and fragrance products from the Parisian beauty powerhouse. The Pre-Party also featured an hour of shopping at the Shop in the Garden store with exclusive offers from Guerlain.
After the Pre-Party, it was time to head over to the Conservatory to view The Orchid Show: Chandeliers. When I entered the Conservatory I redeemed my drink ticket for an orchid-themed cocktail designed by Guerlain, The Orchidee Imperiale (a twist to the sophisticated Cosmopolitan). Then I walked around and viewed the beautiful and vibrant orchids hung from the ceiling and those displayed all over. DJ Julio, a sought after NYC DJ known for his eclectic DJ set kept the music going on the turntables. He played a lively mix of Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Hip-Hop, and Pop music. Then I jetted off to grab a delicious bite of the Avocado Toast at The Pine Tree Cafe, while enjoying the live Bossa-Nova and Samba music by The Nick Russo Latin Trio. The Orchid Evenings with the MasterCard Pre-Party at The New York Botanical Garden was amazing. Now, all I have to do is book a spa appointment at the Guerlain Spa at the Waldorf Astoria, so I can enjoy 20% off a Guerlain spa treatment.
I was strolling through Madison Square Park and I noticed that someone had laid-out clothes on the benches for the homeless. The display of clothes caught my attention because the clothes were good quality and because this act of kindness was so unexpected and unique. What random act of kindness have you done lately?
